Şenkul’dan deprem açıklaması: Birkaç şüpheli bina dışında binalarımız sağlam

Yaşanan deprem felaketi sonrasında ülkede oluşan panik havası nedeni ile açıklamalarda bulunan Girne Belediye Başkanı Murat Şenkul, Girne’nin bu anlamda güvenli bir nokta olduğuna dikkat çekti.

Girne Belediye Başkanı Murat Şenkul, etkileri ülkeyi ciddi anlamda saran deprem felaketi konusunda önemli açıklamalarda bulundu. Son günlerde uzmanların yeni meydana gelebilecek depremlerle ilgili Kıbrıs’ı işaret etmesinin ardından Şenkul, bölgede halkın ciddi bir tedirginlik içerisine girdiğini kaydederken, “an itibarı ile paniğe gerek olmadığı gibi boş vermişliğe de ihtiyacımız yok.” dedi. Şenkul felaketin ardından Girne Belediyesi’ne çok fazla mesaj ve telefon ulaştığına yer verdiği sözlerinde, vatandaşın kaygı duyduğu iki temel noktaya değindi. “KUZEY SAHİL ŞERİDİ OLDUKÇA SAĞLAM BİR ZEMİNE SAHİP” Girne Belediye Başkanı Murat Şenkul, Girne özelinden yaptığı açıklamasında, ülkenin Kuzey Sahil şeridinde yer alan Girne’nin, birkaç bölge haricinde oldukça sağlam biz zemin üzerinde yer aldığını ve zeminin olası bir depreme karşı son derece dayanıklı olduğunu kaydetti. Depremlerde zeminin oldukça önemli bir faktör olduğuna işaret eden Şenkul, bu anlamda halkın kendini güvende hissetmesinde bir sakınca olmadığının altının çizdi.  “BİRKAÇ ŞÜPHELİ BİNA DIŞINDA BİNALARIMIZ SAĞLAM” Vatandaşların tedirgin olduğu bir diğer konunun ise bina sağlamlığı konusu olduğuna dikkat çeken Şenkul, belli başlı birkaç yapı dışında Girne bölgesinde bulunan binaların sağlam olduğunu ve bu şüpheli binalarla ilgili de hareket planının hayata geçirildiğini kaydetti.  Bu hareket planı kapsamında bölgede bulunan tüm kamu binalarının ve şüpheli olarak tespit edilen binaların testlere tabi tutulacağını dile getiren Şenkul, bu işlemlerin bölgede bulunan üniversiteler ve Kıbrıs Türk Mimar Mühendisler Odası’nın da dahil olduğu bir işbirliği çerçevesinde yapılacağını sözlerine ekledi. /// Kyrenia Mayor Murat Şenkul delivers remarks due to sense of panic in the country following the earthquake disaster and emphasisesthat Kyrenia is a safe city. “No need to panic!” Kyrenia Mayor Murat Şenkul makes important comments about the earthquake disaster that overwhelmed the country recently. After the expert opinions which have indicated Cyprus as one of the risk zones for the future earthquakes,Şenkul notes that community has been concerned about their safety and adds “Neither panic nor negligence is what we need at the moment.” Şenkul states that Kyrenia Municipality has received many calls and messages after the disaster and points out two principal issues that citizens have been concerned about. “THE NORTH COASTLINE IS QUITE SAFE.” Mayor Murat Şenkul, focusing particularly on Kyrenia District, states that except a few regions, Kyrenia, beinglocated on the North Coastline of the Country, is on a considerably safe zone and the structure of the ground is highly firm for potential future earthquakes. Şenkulalso adds that there is no harm in feeling safe since the type of the ground surface is very important during earthquakes. “EXCEPT A FEW QUESTIONABLE CASES, BUILDINGS IN KYRENIA ARE SOLID.” “Another issue that concerns our citizens is whether the buildings are solid or not” says Şenkul and adds that except a few that are questionable, the buildings in Kyrenia District are solid and for the ones that there are uncertainties about, an action plan has been implemented. Şenkul confirms relevant tests to be carried out for the said buildings as well as for all of the public buildings within the purpose and scope of this action plan,implementing the procedures together with the cooperation of the universities in the district and the Union of the Chambers of Cyprus Turkish Engineers and Architects.
